We process the data transmitted to us within the scope of your application to assess your suitability for the position and to conduct the application process.
This can include, in particular, the following personal data:
In this application process, the legal basis for processing your personal data is primarily Art. 6 lit. b GDPR. Processing is therefore permissible if it is required to decide whether a contract should be established.
If the data is needed possibly for legal prosecution after completion of the application process, further data processing may occur based on the requirements set out in Art. 6 GDPR, in particular to safeguard legitimate interests according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest then consists in asserting or defending claims.
Your data will be stored in the application data system for a duration of 6 months after acceptance or rejection.
When these six months expire, truncated data reduction occurs in the application data system. This means that the data is anonymised making it no longer possible to identify the data subjects behind the individual data. The truncated data is used to evaluate application management and especially to improve recruiting measures. The truncated data is completely deleted after an additional 36 months.
Log data (email address) of the career mailbox is deleted after 3 months. No further data is stored in the career mailbox.
Should an employment relationship be established, data from the application data system is transferred to the HR file for the purpose of fulfilling the employment relationship.
Provision of personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. There is no obligation to provide your personal data.
Not providing your personal data will mean, in particular, that we are not able to consider your application.
We use the services of a specialised IT provider for the application process. After your data has been entered and transmitted, it is transferred to the server of our service provider via an encrypted connection and hosted there. While maintaining and servicing their systems, the service provider may gain knowledge of your personal data. We have concluded an agreement with our service provider concerning the data processing that ensures that it is conducted in a permissible manner.
Your application data is screened by the HR department and suitable applications are forwarded internally to the people responsible for the respective open position. As a basic principle in our company, only persons who need your data for the proper processing of your application have access to your personal data.
Within the scope of the selection process, we are also occasionally supported by service providers to whom we forward your personal data.
If you have applied for a leadership position in our company, we will, in an additional step and on receipt of your consent, instruct an external institute to determine your existing potential and your development requirements with regard to interdisciplinary skills. This takes place in the form of an assessment interview and includes among other things individual case simulations. Especially your cover letter and your curriculum vitae as well as an additional email address are therefore forwarded to the external institute.
With regard to processing your data, you have the following rights as a data subject:
Under the prerequisites of
Insofar as we process your data on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR) or to perform a public task (Art. 6 para. 1 e) GDPR), and if grounds against this processing arise relating to your particular situation, you have the right pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR to object to this processing. In the case of an objection, we shall refrain from processing your data for these purposes unless we are able to give evidence of compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that prevail over your interests, rights and liberties or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
You have the right to object – without restriction – to any kind of direct marketing purposes pursuant to Art. 21 para. 2 GDPR.
Insofar as you are of the opinion that the processing of your personal violates applicable law, you may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR at any time.
