All important information for
our gas customers

The terranets bw gas transmission system has an approximate length of 2,750 km. Via 45 entry points, we are directly connected with the transmission systems of grid operators Open Grid Europe GmbH, GASCADE Gastransport GmbH, Fluxys TENP GmbH, bayernets GmbH, Creos Deutschland GmbH as well as Ferngas Netzgesellschaft mbH. There are connections to foreign network interconnection partners via three bookable crossborder interconnection points in the Lake Constance region (Vorarlberg and Eastern Switzerland), as well as in Basel.

The distribution networks of around 63 directly downstream exit grid operators and 23 industrial end consumers are connected to our high-pressure gas network via approximately 300 network interconnection points. terranets bw transports only H-quality gas.

Among other things, four underground gas storage facilities contribute to security of suppy and system stability – one of these facilities is completely integrated into our transmission system while the other three are directly connected with our overall pipeline network.

terranets bw is the only transmission system operator in Germany to operate an underground storage facility in its own network.
